At 25 years old, Muhammad Aizam Balqish Bin Mohd Daniel Dangis once had both legs, loved sports, and dreamed of the future like any other young man.
Then, at the age of 22, everything changed in an instant.
He lost his left leg in a tragic accident.
But losing his leg did not mean losing himself.
Instead of allowing the tragedy to define him, Aizam chose to stand up again.
He found a new way to keep moving forward, to keep competing, and to keep living with purpose.
He once said:
"If I can't stay strong, my elderly family members will never be able to accept it. Only when I stay strong can they stop worrying about me."
The one who lost his leg was Aizam, yet he was the one comforting his family.
He refused to give up. He kept searching for work and actively participated in para sports, determined to build a life through his own efforts and reassure those who loved him.
But reality has not been easy.
While looking for a job, he often heard people say, "Kesian" ("I feel sorry for you").
Unfortunately, sympathy alone does not create opportunities.
People may feel sorry for someone for a moment, but genuine support is what truly helps a person move forward.
Sports have always been Aizam's passion.
Even after losing his leg, he refused to let a wheelchair become a symbol of limitation or surrender.
For him, sports are far more than competition.
They are a way to rebuild his confidence, prove his abilities, and keep moving forward.
His determination paid off.
Aizam has represented himself in various para sports competitions and even won a championship title in Sitting Volleyball (Bola Tampar Duduk).
Today, what Aizam truly needs is a sports wheelchair that will allow him to continue training, competing, and pursuing his passion.
We are raising RM9,150 to help Aizam purchase a sports wheelchair and essential spare parts.
This wheelchair will enable him to continue participating in para sports and prepare for upcoming competitions.
It is not just another wheelchair.
